Monument to Ignacio Agramonte in the Plaza of the Revolution of Camaguey with faces of Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara: The lot that the Major General occupies the Plaza of the Revolution Ignacio Agramonte and Loynaz was, around the middle of the XIXth century, a suburban country house. It is surrounded by modern buildings, sports facilities and Provincial Government.

This place constitutes the geographic center of the city and the one of the important popular concentrations. In this plaza he celebrated the holy mass of January 23, 1998, officiated for the Pope John Paul II.

In the complex monumentario makes itself highlighted The Mayor's figure, as well as the most relevant doings of history Cuban and of the Camaguey.

The set monumentario is by the architects Souto and Balmaseda; Also the artists took part in the Creation Reynaldo Miranda, that he modeled and he melted in bronze Agramonte's statue, and Herminio Escalona, with the advice of Gustavo Sed Nieves, who next is the Historian of the city.

In April 1988 he began the ground leveling in the area known by San Zenón, where he establishes also the historic building in which settles down the Provincial Assembly House of the Poder Popular and that once welcomed the Teacher's Training College of Maestros. Your official inauguration was in July 1989, in occasion of winning Camaguey the seat of the National Act for the Anniversary XXXVI of the Assault to the Cuartel Moncada.
